Have you ever imagined something or you notice something new and suddenly that ‘things’ comes out in each of every situations you are in? it could be a new songs, new words, and so on. But, in reality there is no such things increase in occurrence. And, did you ever known about Baader Meinhof? Yes, the answer related to the thing you are facing with is Baader Meinhof.

A long-story-short, Baader Meinhof is the name of a West German terrorist group that was active in the 1970s. We go back at the mid-1990s, when several mentions of it within a short period. And then everyone became aware of the Baader-Meinhof gang, and then the name occurs in everywhere.

Baader Meinhof Phenomenon is one of another cognitive bias. For the example the moment when you wanted a shoes and suddenly you catch that shoes come up in every situations you are in. That things can be explained easily if the shoes you wanted so much is a shoes that are trending. But, how if you wanted a shoes that aren’t trending? Then, it becomes something different between what actually happening a lot and what actually something that you starting to detect a lot.

That’s how a Baader Meinhof Phenomenon or Baader Meinhof Effect works. This effect leads you to believe that something you wanted the most, or when you are notice something new, it’s happening more, even if it’s not. Did you feels like your brains playing a tricks on you? Ya, that’s question might happened after read what I am explained about. For simply. Your brain is reinforcing some newly acquired information. And that’s totally normal.

It’s impossible if your brain soak each of every single detail of information that you faced in a day. It’s simply much. Your brain has a job to filtered it, deciding which things require focus and which can be filtered out. When you are exposed to something you are interested with or something new that you find out interesting, then your brain takes notice. Selective attention occurs. And the things you find out interesting potentially destined for the permanent file, so they are going to be the center of your attention.

Although Baader Meinhof Phenomenon harmless, it still can cause a problems, for the example in a field of medical. This frequency bias can make a doctor see a pattern where there isn’t one. And it can lead into miss other potential diagnoses. Other than that, this frequency bias also can lead a problem at scientific research.

I hope you enjoy my writing, I’ll see you soon, Peeps!
